To survive the winter, a family of Iranian Kurds are forced into illegal smuggling practices.
The film follows three Kurdish brothers — Allan, Ako, and Dirbas — who live in a remote mountain village with their ailing father. Allan and Dirbas earn money by illegally smuggling alcohol and cigarettes into Iran, while Ako, the middle brother, returns after his studies, unwilling to be drawn back to village life, his family, and his old love. As tensions between the brothers and generations rise, their choices lead to dramatic consequences for everyone.
